Interview is the opportunity, for you to advertise yourself, market yourself, sell your skills. You are the best one to do it, make sure you make the best out of it! Here is the list of Seven secrets to Ace any Interview.


1. Begin with yourself:

Know your area of specialization and expertise, it always pays to be master in some or the other field. Identify your skill set, keep your resume simple and straight. Know what your limitations are and keep polishing your strengths.Your appearance should convey that you have taken the interview seriously. It shall reflect in well groomed Hair, appropriate dress up and shoes.


2. Know about the company:

It is one of the mandatory question they are going to ask, better be prepared. You should learn as much as you can about the company from the company’s website. Do a google search on the company to understand what others are saying about the company.


3. Navigate the Interview:

Many interviewers begin with your favorite subject and so on, grab the opportunity, take them to the topics you are good at. Answer clearly and directly, substantiate with examples. Don’t be overly wordy nor deviate too much. You can always ask for hint if you are stuck at some point, they are there to extract best out of you, not just to grill you.


4. Your Approach: It has to be positive and also as how intelligently do you approach to solve a problem. Do not be argumentative. Present your viewpoint and be professional. If their point of view clashed with your own it does not mean that you need to accept their point of view.


5. Be prepared with questions for the Interviewer. Most interviewers will give you a chance to ask questions. Use this opportunity to show your knowledge and interest in the company. Also this is a good opportunity to clear any doubts that you have.


6. Your Biggest Accomplishments:

That’s the another question which is frequently asked, be polite, refer to the Interviewer as SIR or Mam or with their Surname (Mr. ABC or Mrs. XXX). You may start with, the biggest are yet to happen however, I felt good when did this or that, never forget to mention the situation and team contribution,


7. Be Calm & Confident: Calmness reflects emotional maturity, Pause, Silence at appropriate times reflects confidence, you have prepared well and this should show in your interview.
